Kerala

The God's Own Country, Kerala is an enchantingly beautiful, emerald green land, flanked by the Western Ghats on one side, Arabian Sea, and rivers, lagoons, backwaters...

South India

The delightful south; almost untouched by invasions throughout its history, the Indian heritage is more intact here than in other regions of the country.

Wild Life

India's wildlife is both rich and varied. More than 4% of India's land is under forest cover- there are at least 90 national parks and 482 wildlife sanctuaries. The Indian subcontinent has varied physical and climatic conditions and types of vegetation, stretching from the northern temperate Zone to the equator and embracing such contrasting regions as the Himalayas in the north and tropical sea-coast in the south. The affinity of fauna of the Siwalik beds and that of present-day Africa and India suggest that they were derived from common species which migrated from Europe and Central Asia which enjoyed warm climate at that time. Thus the wild life of India comprises the originally indigenous species as well as the species which migrated from elsewhere. It is really the admixture of Indian, Malayan, African and European elements. The respective species inhabited the areas adjacent to their original home lands. This region has seen all this and more.

North India

India is fortunate in possessing one of the world's most extensive and fertile lands, made up of the alluvial soil brought down in the form of fine silt by the mighty rivers.ndia is fortunate in possessing one of the world's most extensive and fertile lands, made up of the alluvial soil brought down in the form of fine silt by the mighty rivers. Lying south of the Himalayas, these Great North Indian Plains consist of the Indus basin, the Ganga-Brahmaputra basin, and the tributaries of these mighty river systems. The northern Indian region saw one of the earliest civilizations on earth, the Harappan or Indus Civilization. From than onwards, this region remained in the center of many great moments of human civilization.
